Applications are welcome for membership of the Club.
The Membership of The New Golf Club consists of Town, Country, Overseas, Youth, Junior and Juvenile Members. A limit has been set at 2000 Members. Anyone wishing to join the Club must firstly be proposed by a present member of at least two years standing, and have his application seconded and then supported by three further Members. In certain circumstances, a letter of introduction from your home club and an interview might be required for those applicants who do not know a member.
Applications are reviewed by the Committee monthly and also appear on the members notice board for a period of two weeks.
Membership of The New Golf Club, St Andrews allows a Member the use of all the Clubhouse facilities and to participate in all the Club's golf competitions. As a non-course owning Club, however, Members are also required to pay an annual subscription fee to St Andrews Links Trust in order to play golf on the Links.
Guests can also visit the Club on a daily or weekly basis by arrangement. The appropriate rates are highlighted below.
