BOOKING POLICY

Only Members of The New Golf Club (Ordinary or House Members) can reserve ‘The Club Apartments’.

Occupants need not be Members of The New Golf Club (Members may reserve a booking for family/friends, without the need to stay in the apartment them-selves. The Club does however require Full Names, Telephone numbers and email contact details for all prospective tenants preferably at time of booking but definitively before commencement of tenancy.

The apartments must on no account be sub-let for commercial gain

The Morris & Palmer apartments are self-contained one-bedroom units, with their own living area, kitchen and bathroom. Each sleep up to two people, in a single bedroom. A maximum of two small children may share with up to two adults.  Extra beds can ONLY be added in the lounge.

The Jones Suite has four bedrooms (each lockable and en-suite).  All bedrooms in the suite share the living area and kitchen. Impressive panoramic views can be enjoyed from the large frameless box window. The suite sleeps up to eight people, in four bedrooms. Bookings will normally only be taken for the entire suite, although there may be occasions when rooms are available separately.

NOTE

All apartments are on the second floor and accessed by stairs only.

Unfortunately, no pets may be accommodated

RESERVATION AND PAYMENT

Reservations may be secured online or via the office with advance bookings taken up to eleven months prior.

Full payment is required at time of booking in order to secure the booking. Provisional bookings may be held for up to fourteen days subject to demand.

Payments are accepted by credit/debit card for which the following details are required.

(1) the card type (2) the card number; (3) the expiry date; (4) the 3-digit se-curity code; (5) Card holder Name and Address.

Our request for personal details is for our 'sole' use and are used in respect to make and guaranteeing your booking and are not passed on to any third par-ty.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations can be made by telephone but must always be confirmed in writ-ing by letter or email, preferably by the member who made the booking.

In the event of cancellation, a full refund shall apply to those days that the property was able to be re-let.

The Club will make every effort to re-let the accommodation booked.

We recommend that Travel Insurance be taken out by guests to cover costs incurred due to late cancellation.

— No refunds are given in the event of early check-outs.

— We reserve the right to cancel any bookings at any time in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

LIABILITY

Whilst the Club endeavour that the property meets required standards and the hirers expectations, the Club cannot accept responsibility for any alterations to the property, surrounding vicinity or amenities that should affect the hirers stay, which are beyond reasonable control of the club, including failure of third-party services.  Nor can the club accept any liability for any injury, sick-ness, loss, damage, additional expense or inconvenience caused by or arising from using the property and its appearances, plumbing, electrical or otherwise, exceptional weather conditions or the hirer’s negligence. Further, no responsibility is accepted for the personal belongings, hirer’s vehicle and its contents or any member of the party during their stay. A mini safe is provided for additional security within the apartment.

DAMAGES

The hiring club member will be responsible for any material damage caused to the property by themselves, or any member of their party. In the event of any excess cleaning, breakages or damages to the property being discovered after departure, an invoice will be raised for which the hiring club member will be held liable.

SMOKING POLICY

·The Club’s Insurance and Health and Safety Policies determine that a strict NO SMOKING rule is adhered to within the apartments and entrance halls, this is extended to E-cigarettes and Vaping. We politely request that if you do smoke / Vap, you move away from the front of the building for the comfort of other guests/members of the Golf Club and indeed staff.

·Should evidence of Smoking within the property be evident we reserve the right to apply an appropriate charge for any period that prevents the re-letting of the property and all additional cleaning and renovation costs.

Club Facilities

Tenants are invited to enjoy the clubhouse and associated services for the du-ration of their stay.

Parking

Free parking is available in the Local Golfers Car Park, situated adjacent to the 17th Green of the Old Course, 50 metres from the Clubhouse. Parking will not be available during the build up to and during The Open and Dunhill Championships.

Location / Distances

Town Centre location, which is 5 minutes’ walk from Bus Station, it is also 15 minutes’ drive by taxi or bus from the Leuchars Railway Station. One hour drive to Edinburgh Airport.

Directions to Property

On entering St Andrews via A 91 from Cupar, go straight over the first and second roundabout (University Medical School on right hand side), after 75 yards, take the first left into Gibson Place, where you will see the main en-trance to the Clubhouse.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE

Check-in is between 16.00 and 22.00 via the Office or Main Bar in the New Golf Club clubhouse. Except during the winter period when the clubhouse closes at 4.00pm Bags can be left at the Clubhouse by early arrivals.

All guests must vacate by 10.00 to allow for cleaning and changeover for incoming guests.  Keys to be returned to the Office/Main Bar in the clubhouse.
