Main Lounge
The Main Lounge, located on the first floor, is a large and comfortable social area where you can eat, drink and enjoy the company of your fellow golfers. It is not only the outdoor view that is highly recommended - by browsing the pictures and boards hung on the walls of the Main Lounge, you can get a real taste of the Club’s history.
Notably, the Main Lounge contains original features of a locker room that were designed in 1902 to mirror the big room of the Royal and Ancient. Old Tom Morris enjoyed sitting by the window and watching the activities of the Old Course and beyond.
A selection of beers, spirits, wine, soft drinks and coffee are available seven days a week from 11.00 am until 10.30 pm during the summer months. A range of cold and hot snacks and meals are served between 9.00 am and 6.30 pm 7 days a week.Catering outside these hours can be organised by prior arrangement with the catering team.
Children under the age of 10 are allowed into the Main Lounge but must be supervised by parents at all times. All children under 18 (unless members) should be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for their behaviour. Children may also sit in The Peter Thomson Suite but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Please note the following regarding dress:
